LootNanny 2.0 User Guide

This page is a living guide for installing, configuring, and using LootNanny 2.0.

Getting started

This section will explain what LootNanny does, what it does not do, and the recommended workflow for a new user.

Prerequisites

  • Windows 10/11
  • Entropia Universe running in a windowed mode that LootNanny can capture/inspect
  • (Optional) An API account for syncing market/community features

Install & first launch

Download

Download the latest build from the Home page and run the installer/executable.

Configuration

This section will explain how to configure LootNanny, what each setting does, and the recommended defaults.

Config file & manager

LootNanny saves it's data in a config.json file, usually this can be found lives in your user directory. Typing %appdata% into your file explorers browse bar will take you to your appdata/roaming directory, then navigate to LootNanny and then config.json.


The available config options are (Required options to track correctly will be highlighted in bold):

  • Player Name: The name of the player you are tracking.
  • Session Token: The session token from the entropia account website, there is help in the app to find this.
  • Chat Log Path: The path to the chat log file. This should be automatically detected for you.
  • Tesseract OCR Path: The path to the tesseract ocr executable. This should be automatically detected for you. And is only required if you want to capture market data.
  • Market Price Region: The region of the screen where the market price is located.
  • Market Price Poll Interval: The interval in seconds to poll the market price. This is only required if you want to capture market data.
  • Database > Enable Weekly Sync: This will sync your data with the entropia nexus database every week.
  • Database > Sync Category: This lets you manually update your cached data from Entropia Nexus.
  • Strip Inventory Blobs from Completed Sessions: This will strip the inventory blobs from completed sessions. This is only required if you want to strip the inventory blobs from completed sessions. Note: This is destructive and can be toggled on to save on disk space for completed sessions.

Screens overview

This section will be a guided “tour” of the UI—what each screen is for and how users typically use it mid-hunt.

Main (streamlined) window

The streamlined window is a focused lightweight window that displays on top of your game window and displays the high level stats for your active session, it can be toggled on by pressing the thunderbolt icon in the main application windwo. It contains action buttons to start, pause, resume or end your session.

Insights window

The insights window is a, experimental work in progress, window that displays insights into your mining activity, it can be toggled on by pressing the light bulb icon in the main application windwo. It contains a tabbed interface with the following tabs: Loot, Mining, Crafting. The loot tab displays insights into your loot activity, the mining tab displays insights into your mining activity, and the crafting tab displays insights into your crafting activity.

Sessions & stats

This tab lets you manage your sessions, view your session stats, and high level summary statistics for your activity within Entropia. You can use the adjustment functionality to manage an individual session by accounting for actions that may have happened during a session, such as trades, auction sales which might make the numbers incorrect.

The Stats panel lets you view your current or past session stats, including loot and combat statistics, it will show you all your looted items, skill gains and allow for you to add notes to your session.

Inventory & loot tracking

The Inventory tab keeps a running tally of all your inventory changes since your session started, it allows you to 'ignore' items you dont want to consider as part of your session, and add items to the item database, where you can categorize them as different types of cost (I.e. Weapons, Armour, Healing, etc...).

Item Database

The database is a way to categorize items you have looted, and allows you to set a markup value for them, this is used to calculate the return on your session.

FAQ

Does LootNanny automate gameplay?

No, LootNanny is a tool to help track your activity and provide insights. It does not automate gameplay, or press buttons for you..

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in your local appdata directory, in the LootNanny folder. No data will be uploaded to any servers wihtou explicit approval..

How do I back up / migrate to a new PC?

Copy the entire LootNanny folder within your appdata directory to your new PC, Note: Due to large filesizes it's not recomended to use Dropbox, Google Drive or other cloud services as a way to sync and backup your data as it can cause corrupted and overwriting issues..
